Tips on eating breakfast at the office

Back in my call center days, I was always on the night shift kaya eating breakfast was like my last meal of the day. So it was such a delight when finally after years of working sa gabi naka lipat na ako ng work where I have regular morning shifts kaso nga lang ang nangyayari ay nakaka limutan ko nang mag umagahan. Yung tipong kape nalang ang umagahan ko hanggang mag lunch time na. dto pa naman sa sa middle east, lunch break will usually start at 1:00pm so imagine kung ilang oras ka nang nag nagttrabaho ng kape or tsaa lang ang nasa tiyan mo?.
One thing I have learned is how important Breakfast is.

At dahil office girl ang peg ng lola nyo, let me give you tips on eating breakfast in the office.

1. Always drink water first before anything else – may scientific explanation yan, kaso nitatamad na ako mag google search so follow nyo nalang.

2. Personal Mugs/Cups – you should have your own mug/cups with you sa office. Especially kung mahilig kang mag coffee or tea in the morning. Ako kasi I still can’t remove the feeling na maraming gumagamit ng mga baso if you will be using the common mugs provided by the office.

3. When eating breakfast at your workstation, still apply table manners – Oo naman, dapat nga mas conscious ka pag kumakain ka sa workstation mo kasi mas marami nakaka kita sayo. I am fortunate enough to work in a company that allows their employees to eat at their stations kaya in return I need to maintain proper cleanliness. I also make sure that I always have tissues or wet wipes handy just in case of spills or crumbs.

4. Limit your eating time to atleast 10 or 15 mins. Only – kahit naman nasa table ka lang kumakain, try to limit it lang kasi aminin man natin sa hindi, talented lang na mga tao ang nakakapag multi-task na nagttrabaho habang kumakain.

5. Breads, sandwiches, fruits, etc. – for me my daily breakfast routine is 2 packs of 3in1 coffee mix, a sandwich or paratha and lots and lots of water. (I do try to consume atleast 3 liters a day). Rice is actually a great booster of energy in the morning but we tend to eat it only sa pantry.

Well that is basically it for now, tignan ko kung may mga maisip pa akong tips and tricks on my next blog. Happy Eating…… BAS!!

My First Blog (and a story about the beginning of my life in Dubai)

Finally!!! After years and years of thinking, over thinking, under thinking….

Well, let me tell you a little story of how my Expat Life goes:

I’ve been here in Dubai since 2012, I can still remember it na parang kahapon lang. There were four of us who were all baguhan. We call ourselves the 3 beautiful ladies and atche ( Atche being me and natira yung 3, well…. Alam na!) We were all so excited to see what was in store for us in Dubai. Pag labas palang naming ng Airport, WOW! Ang lamig. And I had my first yosi sa labas ng airport at feel na feel ng lola nyo ha. We were picked up by the company driver and Ms. B. after that we were heading to our accommodation in Naif, Dubai. But first we had to go to the office kung saan na ako mag wowork for the next 2 years, met our boss and finally we went to our flat where I will be staying for the next 2 months. I had to move out pero I’ll tell you all about it sa susunod.

As in, hndi ko talaga kinaya kasi ba naman, kahit papano I was renting my own room when I was still in Manila so I was used to the fact na mag – isa lang ako sa kwarto tapos ganun ang mangyayari. Partida nyan my parents and my sister were actually supporting me for 6 months, instead of me helping them out.

But I held my head up high, tiniis-ganda Ako and I have learned to adjust with the living conditions kasi sobrang saya nman namin sa room 309 and after all naka air-con kami ng 24 hours so it was just like living in a condo narin, the place was also clean. But sadly after 2 months of staying in a flat I finally decided to transfer to a more affordable place, sobra kasing laki ng difference pag dating sa price. I then finally transferred to a villa where it has become my home away from home. I was with my 2nd family.

Well that is all for now muna, I will tell you more stories and chicka on my next blogs. Pero don’t expect to much ha, kasi I’m not the blogger type na i-bblog ang lahat ng uso dto, on the contrary anti-social na social ako eh…. (labo noh!) but I do hope na if I get readers you’ll enjoy what I write…. Till next time…. BAS!
